Born in 1981, Alessandro Dandini de Sylva currently lives and works in Rome, Italy. On 2006 he received his BA in Economics and moved to New York, where he worked as assistant photographer for Xavier Brunet. On 2008 he moved back to Rome and co-founded [nove] Photography, a group involved in the spreading of contemporary photography through lectures, workshops and exhibitions. Dandini de Sylva's photographs have been exhibited widely during the last three years, including recent exhibitions at Galleria Ex Elettrofonica, FOTOGRAFIA International Festival of Rome, PhC Capalbiofotografia and Sotheby's Rome and Milan. His photography has been published in various catalogues and magazines, including Punctum and Inside Art. On 2009 Dandini de Sylva was selected as finalist for the Talent Prize and exhibited at Centrale Montemartini Museum. From 2011 he is curator at FOTOGRAFIA International Festival of Rome and co-curator at PhC Capalbiofotografia.
